Event Date: Wednesday 9 January, 2019
Kids love to drum! Playing to a beat in a drumming circle is super exciting and fun. It gives kids (and adults) an instant hit of rhythm that immediately makes them feel more confident and alive. Drumming allows children to communicate in a non-verbal way and develops creativity and rhythm.
Our African Drumming School Holiday Workshop is part of our new 2019 school holiday program. The program is designed to let kids experience a variety of instruments in a safe, nurturing and social environment.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The workshop will run for one hour with no more than 12 children in a class. Each child will have an African Drum to learn and play on, along with relevant materials. Our instructors are professional musicians and music educators who have completed Working with Children Checks and have gone through the All Age Music teacher assessment program.
COST: $25 per child
AGE: For 6 – 12 year olds (separate class) and 10 – 17 year olds (separate class)
