All Age Music has educated hundreds of students both young and old, so if you’re looking to start or restart your musical journey, then you’ve come to the right place. No matter where you are in life, no matter what age you are and for whatever reasons you choose to learn and play music, we understand how to connect our students to the right teachers and classes. In providing the necessary knowledge and inspiration, students will uncover their innate passion for music and explore their creativity and the freedom to express themselves. The ultimate outcome we hope to instill in you or your child is the confidence and belief to go out into the world and achieve your musical goals.
"James is a gem of a teacher, it is the first time I have learnt an instrument. No question is silly, he is very encouraging and that he will play along on bass guitar with you is such a bonus. I won't ever join a band so to play a piece along with someone is just great. I am sure he has bad days, but you would never know it. I look forward to my lesson after work because I know it will challenge my brain, in a fun and supportive environment. The guy is just one cool dude."
The girls absolutely love doing piano with him. He is so engaged and caring yet has clear outcomes for them. They have never practised at home so much. Although at times this can be sporadic because of our time constraints. When they do, they are doing it because they want to and can sit there for almost 2 hours. He makes them fell really proud of the achievements no matter how small. I love the fact that he has inspired them to tinker away on the keyboard.
“He makes each lesson fun and our son is really loving his drum lessons. Thank you! We are still not sure though at the idea though of buying a drum kit at home, although maybe if we did, our son might practice more”
“One big take-away is that I remember quite a bit about how to read music from what I learned in my youth and that I am much more prepared to practice between lessons! I always like it when Loretta plays something I am not sure about and she makes it sound like music. Then I have something to aspire to! My daughter has a piano lesson straight after mine and I really enjoy hearing her interact with her (our) teacher and play duets.”
“It’s my son’s favourite place to go each school holiday, and every time it’s always different. He’s already been at least four times now and loves it.”
“The teachers here are not only good at teaching music but care about the kids, which results in getting the best out of them as well as giving them confidence in not only their music but in life. I am thrilled with the attention and care my kids get here, as well as the professionalism of the school.”
“Glee’s a great way for me to unwind from work, one of the few things that will make me drive halfway across Sydney, and one of the few times my family gets a break from my caterwauling.”
“He's so passionate about music that he keeps me inspired. I'm a perfectionist and while I get frustrated at my 'slow' progress, he constantly reminds me of how far I've come in such a short time. As well as some serious lessons, we have a laugh... often! It helps to balance out the learning. I think about things a lot, so I ask a lot of questions. His explanations always hit the spot, and if I forget something, he's happy to tell me, again and again... and again.”
“Very encouraging and helpful. She instantly made you feel relaxed and provide positive feedback throughout the lessons, which encouraged you to continue despite all the uncoordinated sounds I was producing.”
Where words fail, music speaks – at the Adult Glee Club you are transported into an hour for you. Laughs and singing are so good for the soul, and that is what you get at Glee. An hour to express yourself through music and to not be judged, but welcomed into the family.”
“My lessons is so much to put into words, most importantly though I wanted to sing again because I lost my confidence and my direction and since taking lessons I can honestly say I am a much better person. I learnt not to be a bulldozer but more a steam roller”
I wasn't sure what to expect when looking for a music teacher. As a new guitarist and not having done any music lessons since I was a kid, I was a bit nervous starting something like this. I'd kind of thought that only kids did music lessons, but I think it's actually easier learning these things as an adult. I'd done a little work on my own before and learned a couple of chords but not much. Mike was suggested as a teacher and I've been doing lessons with him for close to 2 years. I wanted someone who was a good musician, a great teacher, is patient with my lack of time for practice, and who shares some of the same tastes in music and Mike is certainly all of those things. I can highly recommend All Age Music School. I've gone from being a complete novice to being comfortable playing.
“He had an absolute ball and loved working with James, please pass on our thanks to him. Riley came home and went straight on to the computer putting together a song from everything he learnt yesterday. It was so wonderful to see him so happy after his day with you.”
“All Age Music is a well-run, professional organisation which also offers a relaxed, positive, encouraging environment for its students. My daughter (10 years old) has currently been with the school for 5 years. She has been well supported by her teachers and progressing through a number of AMEB piano and Music Craft exams. The school also provides great performance opportunities through mid-year and end-of-year concerts which help to build confidence in young (and older) performers. I am very impressed with the high quality of teaching offered and the opportunities made available for my daughter to be exposed to some of the best concert pianists around. I have no hesitation recommending All Age Music to others interested in pursuing music, whether seriously or just for fun!”
“I am someone who easily gets anxious and stressed when under pressure (more my own pressure), which includes learning something new and being observed when doing so. The environment created makes me feel very relaxed and free to make mistakes as a means of improving. We always have a laugh and joke, further creating an enjoyable environment. I love the fact that Ambre has so much skill and is so successful but is so humble and shows genuine excitement when I show improvement which drives me to keep practising and learning.”
"I have been doing drums for a over a year now and words can't describe how fantastic the experience has been. Learning piano when I was young was a grueling chore and weekly drums has been the total opposite. I never thought I would ever have been able to plod my way through a cure song and having the endless patience from my teacher is is a great way to welcome in the weekend (not a chore at all!)”
